Ian & Peter’s first attempt at Black Velvet Band in Prep for their contribution for Showcase scheduled for late 2022

With everything that is going on in a chaotic World and their knock on effects on our cost of living, it is with regret I am forced to increase the GuitarStand Club fees  to £10 per session. This will take effect from the 1st of April 2022.
As you are aware, I have tried to resist going anywhere near fees for as long as possible, but the cost of room hire has increased substantially for the coming financial year. This has forced my hand a bit as naturally, it is essential to safeguard the viability of the club.
The safeguarding issue is also the reason we have the rule making it the responsibility of each member to maintain their account up to date. It’s also the reason any late or missed payments are pursued and rectified. These two factors become even more important with ever rising costs.
I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news here, but having sounded out the opinions of a few of you, I’m confident all members will understand this rise in fees is unavoidable.

Rumours of an OPEN MIC Night???

Turnout was a bit sparse at Blackhill today.
No matter, it gave us the chance to draw up a practice playlist for our proposed open mic session we’re considering holding later this year. (Watch this sapce for details).
Those songs we did play were played well and with a little bit more arrangement input than usual.
Come & join us…………..
Another fabulous session in Chester-le-Street this evening.
Progress is definitely apparent right across the board.
